• Welcome to the blog of Luxe Fête Event Planning and Design Studio. My name is Nathalie Cadet-James and I am an event planner and designer. This blog is a place where you can connect with me, check out my latest projects and designs, and hopefully be inspired to create your dream wedding or event. I love designing and planning magical events. Before channeling my creative energy into this field, I was an attorney at top law firms and clerked for a Federal Judge. It did not take long to realize I’d rather be telling stories by transforming spaces and creating beautiful atmospheres. I am fortunate to be considered an "industry innovator" and “event guru” because of my unique and fresh design approach. You can find our work featured in many of today’s premier design and bridal publications. I proudly call the Magic City of Miami my home as well as my inspiration. The Miami of today offers far more than just sun and fun. Miami is truly a world class destination, rich with history, culture, food, music and philanthropy. I am honored to serve on the Executive Committee of Friends of the New World Symphony and the Overtown Music Project. Thanks for stopping by, I'd love to hear from you! And yes, we happily travel anywhere in the world. - Nat

EPIC event featured in The Miami Herald and the Miami New Times!

First off, L’Shanah Tovah! New year, new beginning, new life. I hope all the best for my Jewish friends and family (yes, I have Jewish family – my mentor John Kozyak). I woke up this morning to find this beautifully written article in the Miami Herald about the Overtown Music Project and our event at the storied Fontainebleau this weekend. It really speaks to the heart of what our mission is about. We believe that art and music is transformational and can be a catalyst in our community. I hope you join me and a wonderful host committee this Saturday for Overtown Music Project’s EPIC event at LIV Nightclub at the Fontainebleau. We are pulling out all the stops and then some. Melton Mustafa’s 18 piece Orchestra will have us swinging (he is a disciple of Count Basie), the one and only Monie Love will MC the event, a fabulous Hip Hop DJ will spin some great tunes and you’ll enjoy Status Vodka on us. All for $40 and a great cause. Buy your tickets here: www.overtownmusicproject.org. Thanks for your support and please share with your friends!

The Miami New Times also wrote an amazing interactive piece about our event:

This picture in our invitation was taken in Miami almost 60 years ago. It is Norman Granz’s Jazz at the Philharmonic group arriving in Miami from Chicago by Delta Airlines for their Wednesday night engagement at the Miami Beach Auditorium. In the group are Oscar Peterson, Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Barney Kessel, Ella Fitzgerald, Norman Granz, Flip Phillips, Charlie Shavers, Ray Brown, Willie Smith and Lew Gilbert, Manager.
