“I want a super bright Indian-inspired wedding infused with lots of fun passionate colors,” said one of my favorite brides. How do I translate that into “crisp and very chic” – her other requirement? Luckily, that is the beauty of design. You take what inspires you, blend it with what you want to achieve and then [boom], your perfect wedding is designed. It’s even easier when you realize your inspiration does not have to come from bridal magazines. As corny as it sounds, inspiration for your wedding lies within. It’s how you feel when you see those delicious pair of shoes, or are in that beautiful museum or just lounging outside, one with nature.
This first thing I needed to do for this special couple was research the amazing culture that is India. The groom is of Indian descent so it was really important to make it the base of the design and tone of the wedding. Indian weddings are very bright events filled with celebration that can continue for days . . . a true PARTAY!
I could not help but fall in love with the splendid colors of India. The reds, mangos, saffrons, fuschias and golds clearly play an intricate part in their lifestyle. It just screams joy. Needless to say a beautiful and chic Indian-inspired inspiration board was born. The rich colors balanced with stark white and sleek lines will be the touchstone for every aspect of their wedding – one filled with passion, life and vigor. What are your favorite Indian-inspired color palettes?

preeti - Love the orange dress! So fun and funky.
But the photo with the model in all gold (wearing long black hair and weird gold headpiece) was terrible. She looks grotesque and not all at indian.
