• Welcome to the blog of Luxe Fête Event Planning and Design Studio. My name is Nathalie Cadet-James and I am a Haitian-American event planner and designer. This blog is a place where you can connect with me, check out my latest projects and designs, and hopefully be inspired to create your dream wedding or event. I love designing and planning magical events. Before channeling my creative energy into this field, I was an attorney at top law firms and clerked for a Federal Judge. It did not take long to realize I’d rather be telling stories by transforming spaces and creating beautiful atmospheres. I am fortunate to be considered an "industry innovator" and “event guru” because of my unique and fresh design approach. You can find our work featured in many of today’s premier design and bridal publications. I proudly call the Magic City of Miami my home as well as my inspiration. The Miami of today offers far more than just sun and fun. Miami is truly a world class destination, rich with history, culture, food, music and philanthropy. I am honored to serve on the Executive Committee of Friends of the New World Symphony and the Overtown Music Project. Thanks for stopping by, I'd love to hear from you! And yes, we happily travel anywhere in the world. - Nat

Ikebana on the Beach – The Pictures

When Brooklynites Satoe and Jean-Marc first met, neither spoke the other’s language and blushing smiles pretty much said it all. Fast forward several years later and the two stood before their family and friends for an intimate ceremony on South Beach where this time even words weren’t enough. Satoe, originally from Japan and Jean-Marc, originally from Haiti, knew they wanted to be married on the beach and create an atmosphere where “East meets West” — their story. Hope you enjoy the pictures from this Ikebana-inspired wedding. We’ll go over the details later, so be sure to check back soon!
