• Welcome to the blog of Luxe Fête Event Planning and Design Studio. My name is Nathalie Cadet-James and I am an event planner and designer. This blog is a place where you can connect with me, check out my latest projects and designs, and hopefully be inspired to create your dream wedding or event. I love designing and planning magical events. Before channeling my creative energy into this field, I was an attorney at top law firms and clerked for a Federal Judge. It did not take long to realize I’d rather be telling stories by transforming spaces and creating beautiful atmospheres. I am fortunate to be considered an "industry innovator" and “event guru” because of my unique and fresh design approach. You can find our work featured in many of today’s premier design and bridal publications. I proudly call the Magic City of Miami my home as well as my inspiration. The Miami of today offers far more than just sun and fun. Miami is truly a world class destination, rich with history, culture, food, music and philanthropy. I am honored to serve on the Executive Committee of Friends of the New World Symphony and the Overtown Music Project. Thanks for stopping by, I'd love to hear from you! And yes, we happily travel anywhere in the world. - Nat

Wonderland. The Food

I started doing 80s dance moves when Yaniv Cohen of Shiraz Events shared with me the menu they created for our Luxe Fête Alice in Wonderland Photo Shoot. I mean, how could you sit still, it’s the perfect menu for a whimsical high tea garden party:

  • Shrimp Fantasy
  • Twisted Puffs
  • Ruby Red Truffle Deviled Eggs
  • Green Sesame Chicken Tea Sandwich Tower
  • Pear and Gorgonzola Sailing Boats
  • Tortellini Skewers Tea Cups
  • Turmeric Roquefort Grape Medley
  • Patty Pan Squash with Carrot Mousse
  • Chili and Curry Dusted Chocolate Truffle Pops
  • Tropical Macaroons Dipped in Dark Chocolate on a Stick
  • Smoking Caterpillar Martinis

Needless to say, I was very happy with the finished produced. The food not only looked beautiful, but it was divine. I almost got in trouble with my crew for eating so much of it before the photo shoot. I particularly loved the macaroons (guess I am partial in that it is my favorite dessert i.e. in my dream wonderland macaroons exist like water). Hands down their macaroons are the best I have tasted in South Florida – just a wonderful texture and flavor created by their awesome French Pastry chef. Yum. These guys were really fantastic to work with, so I have asked them to come back and talk to us about the catering world and weddings. They are experts. Good stuff, so check back soon.
